WordPlay: Reduplications

The Spelling Bee lexicon contains many words of the type known as “reduplication.” Reduplications are words formed by the repetition of a word element, often with a change of vowel in the second iteration. Being aware of these reduplications in the Spelling Bee lexicon can help you to become a good solver.
Some of these (e.g., DILLYDALLYING) are forms of root words that are reduplicative. And some might not fit the exact definition of reduplication, but we include them because we think they're fun.
Words in ALL CAPS are pangrams. Words marked with an asterisk have been used in at least one Spelling Bee puzzle, then subsequently disallowed; they are retained here for historical interest.
