Of the 29 Bee puzzles in February, 2 puzzles (6.89%) were based on pangrams and letter sets that had never been used before. These 2 puzzles used 2 new pangrams and added a total of 15 words to the Bee lexicon, an average of 7.5 new words per puzzle. (Of the 15 new words, 14 were totally new, and one was an IN-OUT-IN word. No Bee words discontinued from these new-pangram puzzles.
Of the 29 Bee puzzles in February, 27 puzzles (93.1%) were based on pangrams that had been used before. These 27 puzzles offered no new pangrams, and added a total of 6 new words to the Bee lexicon, an average of 0.22 new words per puzzle. (Of the 6 new words, four were OUT-IN words, and two were totally new.) Six Bee words were discontinued from the old-pangram puzzles, an average loss of 0.22 words per puzzle. (Of the 6 discontinued words, five were IN-OUT words and one was an IN-OUT-IN-OUT word.)
